Wander around the treetops
Sigulda is a great place to overcome obstacle courses located in the treetops. In the "Mežakaķis" adventure park, you will be challenged by tracks of varying difficulty with more than 80 obstacles. On the other hand, in the open-air adventure park "Tarzāns", you will not only be able to climb 20 meters above the ground but also go down the toboggan track.
Fly in Aerodium
Spread your wings and fly at the vertical wind tunnel, Aerodium. It is guaranteed to be a source of positive emotions for both children and adults.
Capture an apple and try some wine
In May, take the opportunity to find out how the winemakers at Zilver Wine capture apples in brandy bottles. You will also find out how the bottles with a ripened apple inside get filled with brandy aged in oak barrels. After that, it’s time to try a variety of Zilver fruit wines.
Visit the local artisans’ creative workshops at Sigulda Castle Quarter
A number of creative enterprises have found their place at Sigulda Castle Quarter. To locals and guests of the city, these enterprises offer the chance to get acquainted with artist workshops, try one’s hand at crafting a Namejs Ring, write exquisite letters, craft leather items, and much more.
Go down the bobsleigh track in a “Vučko” or “Varde”
One of the few bobsleigh tracks in the world that everyone can visit freely. 1420 metres, 16 curves, and a 200-meter-long braking distance - a track of these parameters is there for you to experience. During the winter you can ride down on the “Vučko” bob; during the summer - the “Varde” bob.
Relax at Sigulda Sports Centre
A multifunctional sports centre with modern sports equipment, a 25-meter-long swimming pool, a weightlifting hall and gym, and a 100-meter running track. Families with children will enjoy a Water Recreation Park with two water slides, three different baths, a SPA bath, a counter-current pool, and water attractions for children.
Catch emotions and ride the “Zērglis” zipline
You can ride a zipline along the only aerial cableway in the Baltics. “Zērglis” can reach up to 60 km/hour and offers breathtaking views of the landscapes in the Gauja Valley. You could also try bungee jumping out of a cable car 43 meters above the rive, what you say about that?
Feed the deer at the safari park “More”
The safari park “More” is located not far from Sigulda. There you can observe red deer, fallow deer, mouflons, and wild boars across 170 ha. If you get lucky, you’ll even have the chance to feed them.
Enjoy the views of the Gauja Valley
Views from places like Paradīzes kalns (Paradise Hill) and Ķeizarskats (Royal View) will make your jaw drop. Hike along one of the numerous nature trails to discover unseen natural treasures.
