From November 1 to 30, in the border region’s of Latvia – Ipiķi, Vilpulka, Lode and Ķoņi parish as well as in the town of Rūjiena – we invite you to embark on an educational journey, exploring both well-known and, quite possibly, yet undiscovered places and sights. This orienteering game will lead you on an adventure that not only reveals various stories about people, naturel treasures, events, but also offers a great experience for families and groups of friends. The most exciting part of the game will be searching for letters of a password in the images of the locations and sites, along with additional tasks for which points can be earned.
The auto-photo orienteering game format, which involves searching for specific locations and landmarks based on given images and coordinates, promises to be a great source of motivation to embark on an educational expedition. As with any proper autumn adventure, there will be beautiful landscapes, slightly spooky buildings, fallen leaves on narrow paths, and much more. Therefore, we encourage participants to wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear! Completing the game’s tasks will require a camera (phone camera) and a QR code reader!
The main prize of the game is an overnight stay at one of the gems of Northern Vidzeme – the Ķoņi Mill. Meanwhile, several other treasure hunters will have the chance to win prizes from the game’s supporters: Rūjiena Cultural Center, Rūjiena Folk School, "BB Oga," "Ziggy's Chilies," "Sandriņa’s ievārījumi" and "Trīs ozolzīles".
