In July and August, the local brewery DUNA Brewery will organize summer concerts in the Kaļķu Street Quarter, featuring performances by legends of various music genres and today's rising stars - pop legend Žoržs Siksna, hip hop artists Ozols, Prusax, rolands če, Georgian country blues artist Shota Adamashvili, etc.
American ballad and stand-up comedy improvisation
13 July - Tommy Lumberjack and Comedy Latvia stand-up comedians Jānis Kreičamanis and Kalvis Troska. An authentic evening of jokes combined with authentic old American folk, blues, country and jazz music. Musician Tommy Lumberjack will perform from 19.00.
At 20.00, Comedy Latvia comedians Jānis Kreičmanis and Kalvis Troska will perform improvisation and will take to the stage with only one plan - to talk to the people who have come. Comedians will question your choice of jumper, interfere in your relationships and possibly give you a new nickname. Kalvis and Jānis know how to laugh at themselves too, so the whole evening won't be just about you. The evening will, it's hard to admit, be completely improvised, so prepare for a relaxed atmosphere and conversations with comedians. Entrance: 10 EUR, tickets available at the door.
But from 21.30, Tommy Lumberjack continues the program, free entry.
Georgian and Latvian funk music evenings
20 July - Shota Adamashvili at 19.00. Georgian country blues singer Shota Adamashvili will be performing in the Kaļķu Street Quarter for the fourth time. His authentic American country music style has surprised many. The unique sound and atmosphere of the open-air concert, as well as the songs in Latvian, give his concerts a special atmosphere, which has been attended by a large number of listeners and fans for several years. The concert will feature both his own compositions and well-known popular country songs. DJ ELEGANT will continue the evening after the concert. Entrance: free
26 July - Žoržs Siksna at 21.30. The concert programme "My Fool Heart", featuring favourites from different generations such as "Fool Heart", "Genoveva", "Don't Miss It", "Jel give me a Kiss", "World", etc. The legend of pop music will be joined by the ARmaestro band and the girls of the Turquoise Choir. DJ PUPA and DJ Will Sonic will provide the musical accompaniment for the afterparty. Entrance to the concert from 20:00. High energy hip hop concerts with Ozola, rolandu če, Prusax
On 27 July at 22.30, one of the most popular hip-hop artists in Latvia at the moment - rapper, songwriter, music producer, Universal Music Group artist roland če - will rock with high energy and rap rhymes. DJ DUBRA will warm up the evening and provide musical accompaniment for the afterparty. Entrance to the concert from 20:00. On 10 August, the Duna Brewery courtyard will be transformed into an epicentre of hip-hop music, as hip-hop legend Ozols will be joined by a new generation legend, rapper and Universal Muisic Group artist Prusax. There will be new songs, something from the forthcoming album, well-known rap tracks, as well as songs performed together by both artists.
