Representatives of related nations from Estonia, Finland, Hungary, etc., come together for the Liiv Festival in Mazirbe. Mazirbe was once the largest Liiv village on the Kurzeme shoreline, important centre for fishing and shipping. Now the Liiv traditions can be observed in the material and mental culture, dialect, personalities in literature and art, the green-white-blue colours of the Liiv flag.
