The vocal a cappella group "Latvian Voices" invites you for the eighth time to the a cappella festival, which will take place in Valmiera from August 14 to 16. Every year, the festival gathers a cappella music enthusiasts, singers, musicians, educators, and vocal art enthusiasts for concerts and masterclasses. This time, the festival is dedicated to the acoustic style of music performance, meaning without sound amplification equipment.
Several vocal music concerts will take place during the festival:
- On August 15 at 7:30 PM, the traditional singing group "Saucējas" will perform at the private estate "Mičkēni."
- On August 16 at 7:30 PM, the concert "Acoustic and Spatial" will take place at Valmiera St. Simon Church, featuring performances by the vocal groups "Latvian Voices," "Ēra," and "Skonai."
- On August 17 at 2:00 PM, the State Academic Choir "LATVIJA" and conductor Māris Sirmais will await the youngest listeners at Valmiera Cultural Center with Laura Jēkabsone's children's chamber opera "EJ NU EJ."
Tickets for the concerts are available at Biļešu paradīze outlets across Latvia and online at www.bilesuparadize.lv. However, the final concert of the festival on August 17, featuring all the masterclass participants, is open to everyone free of charge.
