On the anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, November 18, Jurmala will once again illuminate Latvia’s longest “Path of Light” with a living chain of candlelight. To honor the nation’s birthday, 12,500 candles will light up along the city’s central artery, creating a 20-kilometer path stretching from Priedaine to Kemeri, as well as along Jomas Street. Residents and visitors – especially families with children – are invited to help create a warm and unifying holiday atmosphere by joining in this candle-lighting celebration.
