Riga Hockey Cup is Europe's largest junior ice hockey tournament with the aim to give the possibility for the young athletes to compete and play hockey with teams from many other countries. This year, 228 teams from 19 countries, including Canada, will be hosted in Riga. The tournament, with teams competing in their age group, will take place every weekend throughout the month. In total, more than 9,000 people gather, including the players themselves, their parents and friends and staff. After the Latvian national team won bronze medals at the 2023 World Championship, hockey in Latvia has received unprecedented attention. We are not only standing for the growth of players and opportunities to prove themselves at the international level, but also for the fact that the name of Latvia is heard more in the world, including the promotion of tourism.
Entry at the event is free. We invite everyone to attend the games and support the teams!
