The exhibition features items from the Library collection of Riga's first printer Nikolaus Mollin (c.1550/1555-1625) and his teacher, the renowned European printer Christoph Plantin. The works are an introduction to the 16th-century tradition of book printing and reveal Mollin's links with Western European book publishing. The historical part of the exhibition is combined with insights into contemporary challenges: in the 21st century, the printing industry continues to evolve with new technologies, digitisation and changing reader expectations.
