There is so much to see in Ķoņu Mill! The mill's hoods are still in operation, and the 100-year-old carding and spinning machines are used to demonstrate how sheep's wool is gradually turned into smooth balls of yarn. You can arrange to have delicious bread baked on the spot according to ancestral recipes for takeaway with the friendly mill owner.
"Ķonīši" is a 1-1.5 km long walking trail along the banks of the River Ruja, which can be supplemented with elements of a tourist rally and races. Those who wish to stay longer in the mill are welcome to stay in the guest house or spend the night in the old mill in a pristine atmosphere.
Here you can buy blankets and other woollen products made by the mill's seamstresses and stuffed with natural sheep's wool. Every year around Christmas, the Ķoņu Mill is bustling with elves who bake delicious gingerbread and water gingerbread in their workshop with the children.
